Lion Den

Welcome to Lion Den 1

Our Goals The Lion Rank is for children in Kindergarten. To earn the Lion rank, scouts must complete five adventures as described in the “Lion Trail” tab. Although participation with an adult partner is required for all Lion awards, recognition items are for the Scouts only.

The scout’s parent or guardian and den leader approves each requirement by signing their book or completing the task in ScoutBook. When the scout has met all requirements, the Lion badge is presented to their parent or guardian at the next pack meeting. During an impressive ceremony, the parent or guardian then presents the badge to the scout.

1. Complete the five required adventures:

2. With your parent or guardian, complete the exercises in the pamphlet entitled How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide.

Outside of the requirements, Lion Scouts can also complete any number of seven elective adventures of their den’s or family’s choosing.

Required:

  • Shirt (Official Lion T-Shirt)
  • Official Navy Blue Belt

Optional:

  • Official Lion Hat
  • Neckerchief
  • Slide

The Uniform Code:
Your scout should always wear their uniform appropriately. The shirt should always be tucked in and orderly. They should understand the importance of representing the entire Boy Scout Organization while in uniform.

Patches You Don’t Need to Buy:
Any badge or patch that your scout earns will be awarded (at no cost) during the Monthly Pack Meetings.  You will need to sew them on, but they are provided.
